Momma's Rescue is a rescue center dedicated to finding safe homes for our feline friends. Temporary shelter and resources for for cats in need. The center aims to raise funds, increase adoptions, and educate the public about other resources for safe and healthy cats. With a multifaceted approach, Momma's Rescue is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of cats.
What we do
TEMPORARY SHELTER
Momma's Rescue provides temporary shelter in a safe and nurturing environment while you look for a pet friendly human home.
FLEA AND TICK TREATMENT
We prioritize the health and well-being of cats by providing thorough flea and tick treatment to ensure their comfort.
FOSTERING
Become a foster and take on some of our more individual cases that need indoor attention before they can integrate in the Catio or find a forever home.
ADOPTION SUPPORT
Adopt one of our current residents. We ensure they have been socialized, sterilized, and treated for fleas & ticks before you take them home.
VOLUNTEERING
We are always looking for volunteers to help maintain our Catio, transport cats to their new homes, or appointments.
FUNDRAISING
To further our mission, we actively engage in fundraising efforts to support our rescue operations.

ABOUT
MOMMA'S RESCUE
​Like most people during the Pandemic, our Founder, Yvonne and her husband began on some home renovations, that included installing an outdoor patio. The area being cleared led to the discovery of a family of feral cats that had taken home on her property. The mother, later officially name 'Momma' had been on the street and never had a home of her own. Yvonne began daily feedings to ensure Momma and her kittens always had a warm safe space in her yard and food in her belly.

With consistent food, water, and shelter available, it is no surprise that more feline friends appeared. With winter approaching, construction halted, giving the perfect opportunity for the feral cats to take shelter in the patio. By spring, the patio construction took on its new look, affectionately name the CATio. Feral cats that allowed for safe capture were placed inside and began to socialize with each other with all their needs met. Yvonne even began getting them veterinary care and treatments, incurring any associated costs herself.

Years later, the CATio gets daily visits from volunteers, play visits, treatment and care with numerous cats having forever homes thanks to social media posts.

Momma's kittens were successfully rehomed and are thriving. Momma still visits Yvonne daily and will forever be the inspiration behind this rescue organization.
